The vRealize Network Insight architecture consists of a platform VM, a proxy VM, and data sources. The platform VM provides analytics, storage, and a user interface to the data. Depending on the source and the configuration, the proxy VM or the collector collects data by using various protocols, such as HTTPS, SSH, CLI, and SNMP. Install one platform VM and two proxy VMs for vRealize Network Insight. Depending on the amount of data that is collected, you need one or more proxy VMs.
Prerequisites
Download a copy of the vRealize Network Insight Platform OVA file.
Download a copy of the vRealize Network Insight Proxy OVA file.
Verify that the FQDNs of the platform and proxy nodes are registered in the DNS server for forward and reverse proxy. Verify that the FQDNs and IP addresses of the platform and proxy nodes can be resolved.
Verify that the user has permission to deploy an OVF template to the inventory.
Ensure that all the System Recommendations and Requirements are met.
