VMware Telco Cloud Infrastructure includes core, mandatory, and optional components. The mandatory components are required for the solution to function and the optional components provide useful additional capabilities.

Telco Cloud Infrastructure is based on the 3-Pod design comprising Management Pod, Edge Pod, and Resource Pod. Management Pod contains all management components such as VMware vSphere®, VMware NSX® Manager™, VMware Cloud Director™ (VIM), and Operations and Analytics. Load Balancer edges for VMware Cloud Director and VMware vRealize Orchestrator must be deployed in the Management Pod.
Based on the upgrade path, review the appropriate VMware products required for the solution.
