This section describes how to upgrade VMware Cloud Director from version 10.3.2a to 10.4.1
Prerequisites
Verify that you have superuser credentials for the VMware Cloud Director Cells in your VMware Cloud Director server group.
Verify that the VMware Cloud Director database, vSphere components, and the NSX components are compatible with the new version of VMware Cloud Director.
Verify that all ESXi hosts are enabled. Starting with VMware Cloud Director 10.3.2a, deactivated ESXi hosts are unsupported.
Take a backup and snapshot of the VMware Cloud Director cells.
Procedure
- ♦Upgrade the VMware Cloud Director appliance from version 10.3.2a to 10.4.1.
If the vCenter Server gets disconnected after upgrading VMware Cloud Director, reconnect vCenter Server from the UI as follows:
Navigate to Resources > Infrastructure Resources > vCenter Server Instances.
Select the vCenter Instance.
Click Reconnect.
