Install the Resource vCenter Server Instance

Install the resource vCenter Server instance in the management cluster.

For more information about deploying vCenter Server with the embedded platform services controller, see Deploy the vCenter Server Appliance with an Embedded Platform Services Controller by Using the GUI.

Procedure

1. Deploy the vCenter Server Appliance in the cluster TCI_MGMT_CLUSTER on the vCenter Server TCI_MGMT_VC.

   • Name the vCenter Server instance to TCI_RES_VC.

   • Use an embedded Platform Services Controller.

   The vCenter Server Appliance uses the default embedded database.

2. Connect the Resource vCenter Server to the management network port group on TCI_MGMT_TENANT_VDS.
