Install Site Recovery Manager on the Protected and Recovery Sites

When a catastrophe occurs, components in the Management Pod must be available to recover and continue the Telco Cloud Infrastructure based services. Install and configure Site Recovery Manager to automate the recovery of the Management Pod in the event of a disaster.

Prerequisites

• Download VMware Site Recovery Manager and VMware Replication Appliances.

• Verify that AD, DNS, and NTP servers are configured.

• Verify that the FQDN of the SRM server is registered with the DNS server for forward and reverse proxy. Verify that the FQDN and IP address of the SRM server are resolved. Do this on both the protected and recovery sites.

Procedure

1. Deploy the Site Recovery Manager Appliance on both the protected and recovery sites.
2. On the protected site, deploy the Site Recovery Manager server TCI_SRM_PROTECTION in the management cluster TCI_MGMT_CLUSTER on the vCenter Server TCI_MGMT_VC.
3. On the recovery site, deploy the Site Recovery Manager TCI_SRM_RECOVERY in the disaster recovery cluster TCI_DR_CLUSTER on the vCenter Server TCI_DR_VC.
