When you upgrade VMware Site Recovery Manager from version 8.5.0.2 to 8.7, you must complete all the upgrade tasks on the protected site first and then start the upgrade tasks on the recovery site.
Prerequisites
Take a snapshot of the Site Recovery Manager virtual appliance. For instructions, see Creating a Snapshot of a VM.
Follow the Prerequisites and Best Practices for Site Recovery Manager Upgrade.
Ensure that vSphere Replication is upgraded to its latest version 8.7.
Note:
During the Site Recovery Manager upgrade, Site Recovery Manager is unavailable until you upgrade both vSphere Replication and Site Recovery Manager to version 8.7 on the protected and recovery sites.
