Procedure

  1. Wire the ESXi hosts to physical switches and power supplies.
  2. Mount the servers in a rack.
  3. Connect all the physical server Ethernet ports to the two physical switches in a redundant network configuration, as shown in the following table.

    The following table shows the physical servers and their network configurations:

    Note:

    A minimum of 4 Ethernet ports is recommended for compute cluster hosts in the Telco Cloud Platform RAN deployment.

  4. On each ESXi host, connect and configure the embedded management controllers such as Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI).
