The deployment of vRealize Operations is a single instance of a three-node analytics cluster that is deployed in the management cluster along with a two-node remote collector group.

The analytics cluster of the vRealize Operations deployment contains a three-node vRealize Operations analytics cluster that consists of one primary node, one replica node, and one data node to enable scale-out and high availability.

For more information about the design, see vRealize Operations Deployment Guide.

  • Download a copy of the vRealize Operations OVA file.

  • Verify that the FQDNs of the primary node and primary replica nodes are registered in the DNS server for forward and reverse proxy. Verify that the FQDNs and IP addresses of the primary node and primary replica nodes are resolved using nslookup.

  • Confirm that the user has permission to deploy an OVF template to the inventory.

  • Verify that the networking requirements are met.

  • Verify that all the installation requirements for vRealize Operations are met. For more information, see Preparing for Installation.

  1. Deploy the vRealize Operations appliance TCP_RAN_VROPS_PRIMARY into the management cluster TCP_RAN_MGMT_CLUSTER in standalone mode as the primary node.
  2. Deploy the vRealize Operations appliance TCP_RAN_VROPS_REPLICA and TCP_RAN_VROPS_DATA1 into the cluster TCP_RAN_MGMT_CLUSTER as the data node, where TCP_RAN_VROPS_REPLICA will act as the primary replica. For more information, see Create a Node by Deploying an OVF.
  3. Deploy two standard-size remote collector virtual appliances TCP_RAN_VROPS_RC1 and TCP_RAN_VROPS_RC2. For the detailed deployment procedure, see Create a Node by Deploying an OVF.
  4. Connect all the appliances to the Management Network port group.

For detailed installation steps, see Installing vRealize Operations.
