Deploy VMware Aria Operations for Logs in a single cluster configuration comprising a minimum of three nodes and configure the VMware Aria Operations for Logs Integrated Load Balancer (ILB).

Prerequisites

  1. Download a copy of the Aria Operations for Logs OVA file. To download Aria Operations for Logs, see the Telco Cloud Platform RAN Essentials 5.0 product downloads page.

  2. Verify that the FQDNs of the primary node and two worker nodes are registered in the DNS server for forward and reverse proxy.

  3. Verify that the FQDNs and IP addresses of the primary and worker nodes can resolve using nslookup.

  4. Confirm that the user has permission to deploy an OVF template to the inventory.

  5. Verify that the networking requirements are completed.

  6. Read Before You Install Aria Operations for Logs to ensure that all requirements are met.

Procedure
  1. Deploy the Aria Operations for Logs appliance TCP_VRLI_PRIMARY to the management cluster TCP_MGMT_CLUSTER in standalone mode as the primary node. See Deploy the VMware Aria Operations for Logs Virtual Appliance.

  2. On the Administration page, select License in the left pane and enter the license key in the right pane.

  3. Add the two worker nodes to the primary node TCP_VRLI_PRIMARY to form the Aria Operations for Logs HA cluster. See Join an Existing Deployment.

  4. Enable the Integrated Load Balancer. See Enable the Integrated Load Balancer.

  5. Click Time and synchronize the time on the VMware Aria Operations for Logs appliance with the NTP server. For more information about managing Aria Operations for Logs, see Administering VMware Aria Operations for Logs.

  6. Integrate VMware Aria Operations for Logs with vSphere and VMware Aria Operations.

    1. Integrate VMware Aria Operations for Logs with vSphere. See Connect VMware Aria Operations for Logs to a vSphere Environment.

      Note: Add both the Management and Resource vCenter servers.

    2. Integrate VMware Aria Operations for Logs with VMware Aria Operations. See Configuring VMware Aria Operations for Logs with Aria Operations.

    3. In VMware Aria Operations, configure the connection with VMware Aria Operations for Logs. See Configuring the VMware Aria Operations for Logs Adapter in VMware Aria Operations.

  7. Install and configure the following required Content packs to monitor the events, alerts, and queries related to a specific product or set of logs.

    Note:

    You can install the packs from Marketplace without leaving the VMware Aria Operations for Logs UI.

    • VMware Aria Operations for Logs Content Pack for Aria Automation Orchestrator

    • VMware Aria Operations for Logs Content Pack for Kubernetes
