This section describes how to upgrade a vSAN cluster from version 7.0 U1a to 7.0 U2b. Upgrading the vSAN cluster is optional.
Note:
The disk format upgrade is optional. If you use a previous disk format version, your vSAN cluster continues to run smoothly. For best results, upgrade the objects to use the latest on-disk format. The latest on-disk format provides the complete feature set of vSAN. For more information, see About the Virtual SAN Disk Format.
Procedure
- ♦Upgrade vSAN disks. For instructions, see Upgrading vSAN Disk Format Using vSphere Client.
Results
vSAN disks are upgraded successfully.
