Upgrading vCenter Server

This section describes how to upgrade vCenter Servers from 7.0 U2d to 7.0 U3c in Active, Passive, and Witness nodes, if your vCenter Server Appliance is configured in a vCenter High Availability (HA) cluster.

Prerequisites

Follow the Prerequisites for Upgrading vCenter Server High Availability Environments.

Note:

The upgrade sequence of vCenter Server VMs must be Witness => Passive => Active.

Procedure

• ♦Patch the vCenter High Availability Environment from 7.0 U2d to 7.0 U3c.

Results

vCenter Server is upgraded successfully and all services are up and running.
