The Aria Operations for Networks architecture consists of a platform VM, a proxy VM, and data sources. The platform VM provides analytics, storage, and a user interface to the data. Depending on the source and the configuration, the proxy VM or the collector collects data by using various protocols, such as HTTPS, SSH, CLI, and SNMP. Depending on the amount of data that is collected, you need one or more proxy VMs.
