Specifying a port

For a seed entry, you can specify the port number of the SNMP agent that is running on the candidate system in one of two ways:

• By typing a colon (:) and the port number after the hostname or IP address; for example:

  [2001:0db8::0010]:200
  

• By using the SNMPPORT keyword; for example:

  2001:0db8::0010 SNMPPORT=200
  

  The default port number, 161, is specified in the defaultSNMPPort parameter in the discovery.conf file.
