The IP Network probe also combines each discovered IP network with its netmask to form network IP addresses, for input to the autodiscovery process. For example, consider the IP network 192.168.71.0 that has a netmask of 255.255.255.0. The IP Network will create network IP addresses in the range 192.168.71.<1-254> for this IP network and netmask. Any network IP address that matches a discovery filter and is not already in the modeled topology becomes an autodiscovery candidate system.
