Product foundation components

The SNMP Trap Notifier Adapter and the following other notification adapters are part of the product foundation and therefore shipped with every product management suite:

• Script Notifier Adapter

  Calls a custom script when a notification is received, extracts information from the notification, and forwards the information.

• Email Notifier Adapter

  Sends notifications to specific addresses in an email system.

• Log File Notifier Adapter

  Writes notifications to a log file.

  The configuration files for these three notification adapters are also identified in the product foundation components.

  The four notification adapters, collectively known as the Notification Adapters, are described in detail in the Service Assurance Manager Notification Adapters User Guide.
