While upgrading from IP 8.1.1 to IP 8.1.2, the imk.dat file needs to be regenerated in order to run in FIPS mode. Further, IP 8.1.1 imk.dat file uses MD5, which is not a FIPS-approved algorithm. In order to convert an existing installation to FIPS mode, use sm_rebond in non-FIPS mode first to re-encode the algorithm and make it FIPS compatible.
