This section provides instructions to download the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance package.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the deployment host.
  2. Download the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance package from the VMware Customer Connect site. A typical VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance deployment package is named as VMware-TCSA-Deployer-<VERSION>-<BUILD_ID>.tar.gz. For example, VMware-TCSA-Deployer-2.0.1-18.tar.gz.
  3. Place the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance deployer package under your deployment host.
    Note: To verify the downloaded package, run the following command on your deployment host. 
    $ shasum256 VMware-TCSA-Deployer-<VERSION>-<BUILD_ID>.tar.gz

    This command displays the SHA256 fingerprint of the file. Compare this string with the SHA256 fingerprint provided next to the file in the VMware Customer Connect download site and ensure that they match.

  4. Extract the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance deployer package and set the environment variable as shown in the following commands: 
    # Setting up your work space directory on your host.
$ export TCSA_WORK_SPACE=<work_space_dir> # directory for downloading or extracting TCSA Deployer package
$ cd $TCSA_WORK_SPACE
