The VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance implements the architecture that is outlined and defined at a high level through logical building blocks and core components.
- Domain Manager (IP, SAM, and ESM) provides services that control the access and discoverability of both the physical and virtual infrastructure. In addition, the Domain Manager components collects and forwards events related to the topology, status, and health of the system in the form of events and metrics that is processed through an ingestion pipeline.
- The data moves to the components in the top right hand corner of the diagram that make up the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance cloud native components running on a Kubernetes workload cluster.
- Smarts collector collects the data and processes the data in real-time according to enrichment, alarming, and analytics policies which is used to discover and monitor the overall network.
- VMware vROps, NFV-SOL, and Kafka collector provide interfaces to other external sources of information that supplement the information available from Domain Manager and allows stitching of topology and event information from sources including CNF vendors and VMware products compatible with the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance solution such as the VMware Telco Cloud Automation and the VMware vRealize Operations.
