These two files are located in the following directories of the Network Protocol Manager installation area:

(intended for Network Protocol Manager for BGP)

BASEDIR/smarts/rules/eigrp/custom

(intended for Network Protocol Manager for EIGRP)

BASEDIR/smarts/rules/isis/custom

(intended for Network Protocol Manager for IS-IS)

BASEDIR/smarts/rules/ospf/custom

(intended for Network Protocol Manager for OSPF)
The files are invoked at the following points during Network Protocol Manager discovery:

The custom-end-system.asl script runs after initial device discovery and before discovery postprocessing.

The custom-end-post.asl script runs after discovery postprocessing.
