Prepare Network Protocol Manager for discovery

To prepare Network Protocol Manager for its initial discovery, an administrator performs the following tasks:

• Enables trap reception.

  Applicable (but optional) for Network Protocol Manager for BGP or Network Protocol Manager for OSPF.

• Enables syslog message processing.

  Applicable (but optional) for Network Protocol Manager for BGP or Network Protocol Manager for OSPF.

  The Network Protocol Manager Configuration Guide provides instructions for preparing Network Protocol Manager for discovery.
