How to set the management state of a session object

To set the management state of an object by using the Manage and Unmanage commands:

1. Attach the Domain Manager Administration Console to the target Network Protocol Manager.

   Procedure for opening the Domain Manager Administration Console on page 65provides instructions on opening this console.

2. In the left panel of the Domain Manager Administration Console, select the object that is to be managed or unmanaged, right-click, and then select Manageor Unmanagefrom the pop-up menu.

3. For Managecommand only: Click the Reconfiguretoolbar button ().

   For a change from managed to unmanaged, Network Protocol Managerdeletes the instrumentation objects that are associated with the session object. It also sets the object’s IsManaged attribute to FALSE.

   For a change from unmanaged to managed, Network Protocol Managercreates the instrumentation objects for the session object. It also sets the object’s IsManaged attribute to TRUE.
