Use the following steps to configure Server Manager for failover:

  1. Disable discovery and topology synchronization in the Server Manager on page 33

  2. Configure the Server Manager in the Active and Standby locations on page 33

  3. Start the service for Server Manager on page 33

  4. Configure the Server Manager as a source for SAM on page 33

  5. Add the Server Manager to the Failover Manager on page 33
