The Notification View provides a set of notification events, that defines the profile associated with the user. The notification information can include the type of event, the network element that is affected, and the severity of the event.
Default Notification Console Page
To view the default summary view page, navigate to
, where the default created log displays.
You can perform the following operations:
- Add console: Allows you to add a new notification console.
- Edit console: Allows you to edit existing notification console.
- Clone console: Allows you to clone the complete notification console.
- Add log view: Allows you to create a personalized notification log view.
- Edit log view: Allows you to edit existing log view.
- Clone log view: Allows you to create a cloned log view of existing notification log.
- Delete log view: Allows you to delete the notification log view.
From a notification view you can also perform:
- You can customize views to display different events.
- You can also, customize the views to display multiple event lists in a single notification view, as needed.
Common operations on Notification Views are:
- Notification Properties: As a VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance user, you can access the details of the event using the notification properties details tab. The notification properties tab provides detailed information about a selected notification. Properties include attributes and values related to the event, and elements impacted due to this event.
- Notification Log view: You can customize the viewable attributes of the displayed events in the notification log view (for example, event severity, active event, or first notify) can be customized as per your need. The order in which the attributes are displayed can also be modified. You can sort any number of attributes (whether the attribute column is visible or not) by defining multiple columns.
The notifications listed in the Notification Log view are color-coded in accordance with the severity of the events.
Note:
VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance does not access EDAA, when a CAS server is configured in the SAM Domain Manager server.
