The server tool is a process to create/close a trouble ticket for a specific notification. Server tools related to trouble ticket are only displayed for the users with privilege to execute server tool. And, privilege is based on role the user is configured in VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance.

Procedure

  1. Go to https://Telcocloud serviceassurance-ui-IP.
    A typical default URL for logging in to the user interface from the same system on which VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance is installed is, https://10.x.x.x.
  2. On the login screen, enter your user name and password.
  3. Click Next.
    The Notification Console opens.
  4. Click the ellipsis icon (three vertical dots) on the desired notification.
  5. Click Server Tools, to open a ticket with the resolver team, click Sample – Open Trouble Ticket.
    Note: In order for VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance to figure which tools are related to trouble ticketing, VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance uses a filter on tool name containing string Trouble Ticket. So, if you create tool containing name Trouble Ticket then it must appear in VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance.
