Administrator can add one or more policies to define and manage policies for different user profiles.
To add a policy, follow the procedure:
Procedure
- Go to https://Telcocloud serviceassurance-ui-IP.
A typical default URL for logging in to the user interface from the same system on which VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance is installed is, https://10.x.x.x.
- On the login screen, enter your user name and password.
- Click Next.
The VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance user interface opens.
- Navigate to Administration > Access > Policies.
- To add policy, click Add.
- Enter the Name of the policy.
- Provide description about the policy in the Description text box.
- You can also create your own console with different filter set available, to view the appropriate Notification, Topology, and Metric details:
To define Notification, Topology, and Metric filter condition, select Yes from drop-down in the Notification, Topology, and Metric details section respectively.Note: If you select the value as No in the drop-down of Notification, Topology, and Metric details sections, then VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance restricts data access for the respective stream.
- In the Filter Details section select the proper value for the following:
- Select the required Property from the drop-down.
- Select the Expression type from the drop-down.
- Provide the Value.
Note:- For some specific boolean columns, select Yes or No from the dropdown.
- For a selected integer or string column, provide the exact value as input.
- To add multiple values for a single attribute, click "+" icon. The operation is "OR" between the values like ("ROUTER" "MATCHES" "SWITCH OR ROUTER "). To remove any attribute, click the cross icon.
- Within the filter set, all operations are "AND" operations and between the filter set all operations are "OR" operations.
- For one attribute, you can have multiple values.
- In the Filter Details section select the proper value for the following:
- If you select the value as Yes in the drop-down of Remediation Details, then you can add multiple categories from the Category drop-down on which you can apply the RBAC.
- Click Save.
