To prepare MPLS Manager for its initial discovery, an administrator performs the following task:

  • Specifies one or more IP Availability Managers in the mpls.conf file.

  • When the MPLS Topology Server component of MPLS Manager starts up, it adds as topology sources the IP Availability Managers that are specified in the mpls.conf file, and imports topology and CLI device-access objects from the IP Availability Managers.

The Smarts MPLS Manager Configuration Guide describes the mpls.conf and other MPLS Manager configuration files, and provides instructions for preparing MPLS Manager for discovery.
