Before you start

Accessing the consoles that are described in this chapter requires the attachment of the Global Console to the Global Manager (for example, INCHARGE-SA) in your deployment. The Smarts Service Assurance Manager Operator Guide provides information about starting the Global Console, logging in, and attaching to a Manager.

Console access is controlled by the user profile that is associated with your Smarts user account. You do not need a user account with administrative privileges to access the consoles that are described in this chapter.

Also, console operations are controlled by the user profile that is associated with your Smarts user account. The Smarts Service Assurance Manager Configuration Guide provides instructions on how to change console operations.

And lastly, by default, the display of MPLS maps is disabled. The Smarts MPLS Manager Configuration Guide provides instructions on enabling the display of MPLS maps.
