Attribute declarations, as defined in the ATTList of the DTD, expand the details of an element. All elements utilize a name declaration to identify it as well as a method declaration that instructs the adapter on whether to insert, update, or delete information about the element.
An attribute, as defined by the Attribute List in the DTD help identify the object instance. This should not be confused with an ICIM object attribute that describes the particular instance. For example:
