Controlling the startup of programs

The Smarts programs are started can either be installed as services or as manual processes. The section Controlling the Startup of Smarts Software provides procedures that use the sm_service utility to:

• Install programs as services
• Start and stop services
• Start and stop processes
• Modify the runtime parameters of services
