This section provides steps to add a connection.

By default, you can find connections for Slack, JIRA, and ServiceNow. You can update the host and credentials to complete the setup of these connections.
Note: Usage of Connections in Actions is not mandatory. Actions may alternatively use either service URLs or endpoints and/or URL/endpoints for some secret management service. In such cases, the Actions can use the Parameters for indicating the service's URL/endpoint, credentials and/or the secret management service URL. For more information, see the provided servicenow_lcm action, which uses Parameters for ServiceNow URL and credentials in Customize the ServiceNow Lifecycle Management Action.

Procedure

  1. Go to https://Telcocloud serviceassurance-ui-IP.
  2. Enter the username and password.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Navigate to Administration > Alarms Management > Actions.
  5. From the Add drop-down menu, select Connections.
    The Add Remediation Connection page appears.
  6. Update the following parameters:
    Input Parameter Description Default Value
    Connection Id Provide the unique connection ID. NA
    Connection Type Identifies the protocol or the connection type. Select the type of connection from the drop-down menu. Slack Webhook
    Description Provide the description details to the connection. NA
    Hostname Provide the hostname for the external service. NA
    Username Provide the username for the external service. NA
    Password Provide the password of the external service. NA
    Port Provide the port number of the external service. NA
    Schema Provide a schema of the external service. NA
    Extra Provide extra information for the connection. NA
    Note: The Port, Schema, and Extra fields are optional.
