For VMware Aria Operations Alert management, you must configure the Domain Settings and VMware Aria Operations collector.
Prerequisites
- VMware Aria Operations must be installed and Kubernetes Management Pack must be deployed.
- Kubernetes Management Pack must be configured to manage the vRAN and 5G Core Kubernetes Infrastructure.
- Modify the /etc/hosts file where the Domain Manager Servers are running to update the IP address to Kafka Service mapping:
- For TKG deployment: <Virtual IP address of the VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid workload cluster> kafka-edge.
- For AKS and AWS deployment: <Kafka Edge IP> kafka-edge.
- For VM Based On-Prem Demo deployment,: <Kafka Edge IP> kafka-edge.

Configure Domain Settings
You must configure the Domain Settings for OI server before you configure the VMware Aria Alert Collector in Alerts Mode. For steps to configure Domain Settings for the OI Server, see Add Domain Settings for OI Server.
Configure VMware Aria Operations Collector
You can configure
VMware Aria Operations collector in two modes:
- Standalone
- Cloud Instance
- Navigate to .
- In the 5G integration section, click Add and depending on the requirement select TCP-5G-Core or TCP-RAN from the drop-down menu.
- In the Create Integration section, select VIM/K8s.
- Click Next.
- In the Description section, enter the name and description.
- In the Credentials section, select Broker Host and Port.
- Click Next.
- In the VIM and Kubernetes section, click Add.
Enter the following parameters when
VMware Aria Operations is configured in Alerts monitoring mode and Standalone instance type.
