The Alarms Management system comprises of Alarming, Anomaly, and Remediation service.
The VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance Alarming service is a configurable facility for generating alarm events when metric values exceed configured thresholds. Example includes raising an alarm when CPU utilization of a particular device exceeds a threshold over a period of time or when the available disk space on a device falls below a threshold over a period of time, A single alarm definition can be created for multiple metrics over multiple threshold values. So that manual or automated remedial action can be taken.
At the heart of VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance is our machine learning and analytics engine. The system is constantly analyzing the data and creating baselines, incidents, root causes, and correlating device use with network statistics. The analytics section allows you to view this data in many unique ways.
The core idea behind using Remediation Rules and Actions in the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance is to provide users with zero touch or one touch resolution to potential issues in the network.
