You can virtualize various browsers including Mozilla Firefox and different versions of Internet Explorer using the ThinApp Setup Capture wizard.

You can capture the following browsers on specific versions of Windows:
  • Internet Explorer 7 - Windows XP (Only with ThinApp 5.2.3 or earlier)
  • Internet Explorer 8- Windows XP (Only with ThinApp 5.2.3 or earlier)
  • Internet Explorer 9 - Windows 7
  • Internet Explorer 10 - Windows 7
  • Internet Explorer 11 - Windows 7
  • Mozilla Firefox - Windows 7

If you have captured Internet Explorer 8 or later using versions earlier than ThinApp 5.2.2, to access the web pages on Windows 10, use the workaround as mentioned in this knowledge base article. This article contains information about how to open web pages from ThinApped Internet explorer on Windows 10 machines. 2. When capturing Internet Explorer versions 8, 9, 10, or 11, during the application installation phase of the Setup Capture, capture the upgrade from the previous version of the Internet Explorer to the version of the Internet Explorer you intend to virtualize.
The host might provide default settings, so ensure that you have the correct settings for Setup Capture.
  3. (Optional) Configure the browser by opening the newly installed native browser application.
  4. Rescan the system using the Postscan process of the Setup Capture wizard.
  5. When capturing Internet Explorer, in the Native Browser Redirection window, enter the URLs required for redirection.
  6. Configure the project and package in the subsequent Setup Capture windows.
