As a best practice, take snapshots of the virtual machines deployed as part of the vRealize Automation installation. The deployment of vRealize Automation is a complex process, and if the deployment fails for any reason, these snapshots are available as a fall back.

Perform this procedure to take snapshot of each virtual machine listed below.

Procedure

  1. Log in to vCenter Server by using the vSphere Web Client.
    1. Open a Web browser and go to https://sfo01w01vc01.sfo01.rainpole.local/vsphere-client.
    2. Log in using the following credentials.

  2. Navigate to sfo01w01vc01.sfo01.rainpole.local > sfo01-w01dc > sfo01-w01fd-vra.
  3. Right-click vra01iws01a and select Snapshots > Take Snapshot.
  4. Enter Pre-deployment for Name, deselect Snapshot the virtual machine's memory, and click OK.
  5. Repeat this procedure to take snapshots of the remaining virtual machines in the preceding table.
