Configure the vSAN adapter to collect monitoring data about vSAN usage in the SDDC.
Procedure
- Log in to vRealize Operations Manager by using the operations interface.
- Open a Web browser and go to https://vrops01svr01.rainpole.local.
- Log in using the following credentials.

- On the main navigation bar, click Administration.
- In the left pane of vRealize Operations Manager, click Solutions.
- On the Solutions page, select VMware vSAN from the solution table, and click Configure.
The Manage Solution - VMware vSAN dialog box appears.
- Under Instance Settings, enter the settings for the connection to the vCenter Server instance.
- If you already have added another vSAN adapter, click the Add icon on the left side to add adapter settings.
- Enter the settings for the connection to the vCenter Server.

- Click the Add icon next to the Credential text box, and configure the credentials for the connection to vCenter Server, and click OK.

- Click Test Connection to validate the connection to vCenter Server.
The vCenter Server certificate appears.
- In the Review and Accept Certificate dialog box, verify the vCenter Server certificate information, and click Accept.
- Click OK in the Info dialog box.
- Expand the Advanced Settings section of settings.
- From the Collectors/Groups drop-down menu, select the sfo01-remote-collectors collector group.
- Make sure Auto Discovery is set to true.
- Click Save Settings.
- Click OK in the Info dialog box that appears.
- If you have a vSAN datastore configured in the shared edge and compute cluster, repeat Step 5 for the Compute vCenter Server.
- In the Manage Solution - VMware vSAN dialog box, click Close.
Results
The vSAN adapter appears on the Solutions page of the vRealize Operations Manager user interface. The Collection State column for the vCenter Adapter displays Collecting, and the Collection Status column displays Data receiving.
