Before you deploy the Shared Edge and Compute vCenter Server, verify that your environment satisfies the requirements for this deployment.

IP Addresses and Host Names

Verify that static IP addresses and FQDNs for the shared edge and compute networks are available for the SDDC deployment.

Verify that you have configured the Platform Services Controller load balancer and the management vCenter Server. Allocate one static IP address and an FQDN for the Shared Edge and Compute vCenter Server.

Deployment Prerequisites

Verify that your environment satisfies the following prerequisites for the deployment of the vCenter Server.

  • Verify that management vCenter Server is operational.

  • Verify that the PSC Load Balancer is configured.

  • Download the .iso file for the vCenter Server.

License

  • Verify that you have obtained vCloud Suite license with a quantity that satisfies the requirements of this design.

Active Directory

  • Verify that you have a parent active directory with the SDDC user roles configured for the rainpole.local domain.

Certificate Authority

  • Configure the root Active Directory domain controller as a certificate authority for the environment.
