You create two new environments in vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager to import vRealize Log Insight product deployments in Region A and in Region B. You input parameters such as networking and storage for the environment import and scaling of the product deployments during Day-2 operations.

Procedure

  1. Log in to vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager user interface.
    1. Open a Web browser and go to https://vrslcm01svr01a.rainpole.local/vrlcm.
    2. Log in using the following credentials.

  2. On the Home page, click Create Environment.
  3. On the Create Environment page, enter the following information, and click Next.

  4. On the Products tab, select the check box and the radio button option for the following vRealize Suite products and click Next.

  5. On the End User License Agreement page, read the EULA, check I agree to the terms and conditions, and click Next.
  6. On the License Details page, add or select the vRealize Suite license.
    1. For Provide License Key, click the Select vRealize Suite License radio button, select the license from the drop-down menu, and click Next.
    2. Or click the Add vRealize Suite License radio button, provide the vRealize Suite or a vCloud Suite license key, and click Next.
  7. On the Infrastructure Details page, enter the following information, and click Next.

  9. On the Certificate Details page, select Use Generated Certificate from Manage Certificate and click Next.
  10. On the Product Details page, enter the following information for Product Properties for Import, and click Next.

  11. On the Summary page, review the information, and click Submit.
  12. In the Navigator pane, click Requests and verify that CREATE_ENVIRONMENT for Environment Name: SFO-Region-Env in the Request Info column is INPROGRESS.
  13. In the Requests page, click the INPROGRESS and monitor the steps of the import graph until the request is COMPLETED.
  14. Repeat the procedure to import the LAX-Region-Env local region environment for vRealize Log Insight in Region B.
