When you upgrade vRealize Business in the cloud management layer, start the procedure from the vRealize Business server virtual appliance using the upgrade .iso file.

Prerequisites

  • Mount the upgrade iso file, vRealize-Business-for-Cloud-7.4.x.xxx-build_number-updaterepo.iso, to the vRealize Business server virtual appliance vrb01svr01.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the vRealize Business Server appliance management console.
    1. Open a Web browser and go to https://vrb01svr01.rainpole.local:5480.
    2. Log in using the following credentials.

  2. Unregister vRealize Business from the default tenant in vRealize Automation vsphere.local.
    1. On the Registration tab, click the vRA tab.
    2. Enter the following values and click Unregister.

      An Unregistered from vRealize Automation message appears at the top of the page. .

  3. Start the upgrade of the vRealize Business server virtual appliance.
    1. Click the Update tab and click Settings.
    2. Under Update Repository section, select the Use CD-ROM Updates radio button and click Save Settings.
    3. Click Status and click Check Updates to load the update from the upgrade .iso file.
    4. Verify that the update listed in Available Updates matches the version in this VMware Validated Design and click Install Updates.
  4. Log in to the vRealize Business Server appliance management console.
    1. Open a Web browser and go to https://vrb01svr01.rainpole.local:5480.
    2. Log in using the following credentials.

  5. Re-register vRealize Business with the default tenant in vRealize Automation, vsphere.local.
    1. Click Registration > vRA and enter the following credentials to register with the vRealize Automation server.

    2. Click Register.
