For each compute vCenter Server instance, you create one logical switch per business group to simulate networks for the web, database, and application tiers.

You repeat this procedure to create all logical switches.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Compute vCenter Server by using the vSphere Client.
    1. Open a Web browser and go to https://sfo01w01vc01.sfo01.rainpole.local/ui .
    2. Log in by using the following credentials.

      User name administrator@vsphere.local
      Password vsphere_admin_password
  2. In the Networking and Security inventory, select Logical Switches.
  3. From the NSX Manager drop-down menu, select 172.16.11.66.
  4. Create the first logical switch.
    1. Click the Add button.
      The New logical switch dialog box opens.
    2. Configure the settings and click OK.
