After you upgrade the vCenter Server and Platform Services Controller components, you add the new appliances to virtual machine DRS groups. This enables the previously created anti-affinity rules and specifies that critical virtual machines, such as the vCenter Server instances, run on different hosts.

Procedure
- Log in to vCenter Server by using the vSphere Web Client.
- Open a Web browser and go to https://sfo01m01vc01.sfo01.rainpole.local/vsphere-client/.
- Log in by using the following credentials.

- In the Navigator pane, select Host and Clusters, and expand the sfo01m01vc01.sfo01.rainpole.local tree.
- Add the Platform Services Controller instances to the Platform Services Controllers VM/Host Group.
- Select the sfo01-m01-mgmt01 cluster and click the Configure tab.
- On the Configure page, click VM/Host Groups.
- On the VM/Host Groups page, select the Platform Services Controllers group, and click Edit.
- In the Edit VM/Host Group dialog box, click Add, select sfo01m01psc01 and sfo01m01psc01, and click OK.
- Add the vCenter Server instances to the vCenter Servers VM/Host Group.
- Select the sfo01-m01-mgmt01 cluster and click the Configure tab.
- On the Configure page, click VM/Host Groups.
- On the VM/Host Groups page, select the vCenter Servers group, and click Edit.
- In the Edit VM/Host Group dialog box, click Add, select sfo01m01vc01 and sfo01w01vc01, and click OK.
- Repeat the procedure for the Platform Services Controller and vCenter Server instances in Region B.
