Before the upgrade of vRealize Business, shut down the virtual machines in an order and take a snapshot of each virtual machine in the environment. If you must do a rollback of vRealize Business to the previous state, use these snapshots to perform the rollback operation.

Procedure

  1. Log in to vCenter Server by using the vSphere Web Client.
    1. Open a Web browser and go to https://sfo01m01vc01.sfo01.rainpole.local/vsphere-client/.
    2. Log in by using the following credentials.

      User name administrator@vsphere.local
      Password vsphere_admin_password
  2. From the Home menu, select VMs and Templates.
  3. Shut down the vRealize Business nodes in the environment according to the Shutdown Order of the Management Virtual Machines.
    1. In the Navigator, expand sfo01m01vc01.sfo01.rainpole.local>sfo01-m01dc>sfo01-m01fd-vra.
    2. Right-click sfo01vrbc01 and select Power > Shut Down Guest OS.
    3. In the Confirm Guest Shut Down dialog box, click Yes.
    4. Repeat this step for the remaining vRealize Business virtual machines in the environment.
  4. Take a snapshot of the vRealize Business virtual machines in the environment.
    1. In the Navigator, right-click vrb01svr01 and select Snapshots > Take Snapshot.
    2. In the Take VM Snapshot dialog box, enter the following settings and click OK.

    3. Repeat this step for the remaining vRealize Business virtual machines in the environment.
  5. Verify that the snapshots for each vRealize Business virtual machine are successfully created.
  6. Power on the vRealize Business virtual machines in the environment according to the Startup Order of the Management Virtual Machines.
    1. Right-click vrb01svr01 and select Power > Power On.
    2. Repeat this step for the remaining vRealize Business virtual machines in the environment.
