Use vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager and upgrade vRealize Business.

Procedure

  1. Log in to vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager by using the user interface.
    1. Open a Web browser and go to https://vrslcm01svr01a.rainpole.local/vrlcm.
    2. Log in by using the following credentials.

  2. In the Navigator, click the Environments icon.
  3. In the Cross-Region-Env environment card, click View Details.
  4. In the vRealize Business for Cloud product card, click the ellipsis on the top right corner and select Upgrade.
  5. On the vRealize Business for Cloud page, under the Product Details section, enter the following settings and click Check Compatibility Matrix.

  6. In the Product Details section, click Next.
  7. In the PreCheck Details section, click Run PreCheck.

    vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager displays a Validation request submitted successfully message. The validation takes a few minutes to finish and shows Successful for Data validation and vRealize Business for Cloud Validations.

  8. After the pre-check validation finishes successfully, click Next.
  9. In the Summary Details section, review the Product Upgrade information and click Submit.
  10. In the Navigator, click the Requests icon.

    In the Request Info column, the Validate and Submit Upgrade Product request for Environment Name: Cross-Region-Env shows an INPROGRESS status.

  11. After the upgrade finishes, verify that vRealize Business is upgraded to version 7.5.
    1. In the Navigator, click the Environments icon.
    2. In the Cross-Region-Env environment card, click View Details.
    3. In the vRealize Business for Cloud product card, verify that version is 7.5.0.

    Unregistering vRealize Business from vRealize Automation and re-registering is automatically done by vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager.

  12. Log in to the vRealize Business Server appliance management console.
    1. Open a Web browser and go to https://vrb01svr01.rainpole.local:5480.
    2. Log in by using the following credentials.

  13. If the upgrade fails, you re-register vRealize Business with the vsphere.local default tenant after a rollback.
    1. Click Registration > vRA and enter the following credentials.

    2. Click Register.

    At the top of the page, a Registered with vRealize Automation message appears.
