Before you perform the update, take snapshots of the Management vCenter Server appliance and the Platform Services Controller appliances in Region A and Region B. If you must perform a rollback to the previous state, these snapshots accelerate a rollback operation.

Procedure

  1. In a Web browser, log in to vCenter Server by using the vSphere Client.

  2. In the VMs and templates inventory, expand the sfo01m01vc01.sfo01.rainpole.local tree and expand the sfo01-m01dc data center.
  3. Expand the sfo01-m01fd-mgmt folder.
  4. Right-click sfo01m01vc01 and select Snapshots > Take Snapshot.
  5. In the Take VM Snapshot page, enter the following settings and click OK.
