About VMware Validated Design Architecture and Design

TheVMware Validated Design Architecture and Design document contains a validated model of the Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) and provides a detailed design for each management component of the SDDC stack.

Architecture Overview discusses the building blocks and the main principles of each SDDC management layer. Detailed Design provides the available design options according to the design objective, and a set of design decisions to justify selecting the path for building each SDDC component.

Intended Audience

VMware Validated Design Architecture and Design is intended for cloud architects, infrastructure administrators and cloud administrators who are familiar with and want to use VMware software to deploy and manage an SDDC that meets the requirements for capacity, scalability, backup and restore, and extensibility for disaster recovery support.
