To use the updated vSAN storage policy, you redeploy all the NSX Controller virtual machines.

You repeat this procedure to redeploy all NSX Controller nodes in the management cluster in Region A.

Procedure

  1. In a Web browser, log in to vCenter Server by using the vSphere Client.

  2. Delete all NSX Controller nodes in the management cluster in Region A.
    1. In the Networking and security inventory, click Installation and upgrade.
    2. On the Management tab, click NSX Controller nodes.
    3. From the NSX Manager drop-down menu, select 172.16.11.65.
    4. In the Controller nodes section, select sfo01m01nsxc01 and click Delete.
    5. On the confirmation dialog box, click Delete.
    6. Repeat this step to delete the sfo01m01nsxc02 and sfo01w01nsxc03NSX Controller nodes.
  3. Redeploy all NSX Controller nodes in the management cluster in Region A.
    1. On the Management tab, click NSX Controller nodesand click Add.
    2. On the Add controller page, in the Password settings section, configure the settings, and click Next.
      You configure a password only during the deployment of the first NSX Controller. The other controllers use the same password.

    3. On the Deployment and connectivity page, configure the settings and click OK.

    4. Repeat this step for the sfo01m01nsxc02 and the sfo01m01nsxc03 controllers.
  4. Configure DRS anti-affinity rules for the NSX Controller nodes.
    1. In the Hosts and clusters inventory, expand the sfo01m01vc01.sfo01.rainpole.local tree and expand the sfo01-m01dc data center.
    2. In the Navigator pane, expand the sfo01m01vc01.sfo01.rainpole.local tree.
    3. Select the sfo01-m01-mgmt01 cluster and click the Configure tab.
    4. In the Configuration section, click VM/Host rules, and click Add.
    5. In the Create VM/Host rule dialog box, configure the settings and click OK.
