You configure the network on the vSphere Replication appliances and add static routes to configure the replication traffic between the two availability zones. In case of unavailability of Region B as a recovery region, virtual machines fail over to Availability Zone 2.

Add a Network Adapter to the vSphere Replication Appliance in Region A for Replication Traffic to Availability Zone 2 Configure Routing on the vSphere Replication Appliances in Each Region Configure Static Routes Between the Protected and the Recovery Regions Update the Host Profile to Distribute the Replication Traffic Network Configuration in Availability Zone 2
