Convert Virtual Machines to VM Templates in Region B

You convert the virtual machines directly to templates instead of making a copy by cloning.

Repeat this procedure for each of the VM templates in the content library.

Procedure

1. In a Web browser, log in to the Compute vCenter Server by using the vSphere Client.

   Settings	Value
   URL	https://lax01w01vc01.lax01.rainpole.local/ui
   User name	[e-mail]
   Password	vsphere_admin_password

2. In the VMs and templates inventory, expand the lax01w01vc01.lax01.rainpole.local tree and expand the lax01-w01dc data center.
3. Expand the VM Templates folder, right-click the windows-server-2016 virtual machine, and from the drop-down menu, select Template > Convert to Template.
4. To confirm the template conversion, click Yes.
5. Repeat this procedure for the remaining VM templates in the content library.
