Before you deploy the SDDC, you must provide sufficient compute and storage resources to meet the footprint requirements of the management workloads.

In each region, you use VMware Cloud Builder to perform an automated deployment of all SDDC management components except the Skyline Collector appliance. After the automated deployment, you deploy the Skyline Collector appliance manually.

Note: Storage footprint shows allocated space. Do not consider it if you use thin provisioning according to this validated design.

For placing ESXi hosts into maintenance mode, you must allocate additional 30% free storage capacity.

For replication of the management virtual machines in Region A, Region B requires additional failover storage capacity of 4075 GB.

For information about the individual footprints of the SDDC components and layers deployed with VMware Cloud Builder, refer to the deployment parameters XLS files for Region A and Region B, vvd-rega-deployment-parameter.xlsx and vvd-regb-deployment-parameter.xlsx.
