Update the identity of your SDDC deployment on the Compute vCenter Server in Region B. You use this identity as a label in tools for automated SDDC deployment.

Procedure

  1. In a Web browser, log in to vCenter Server by using the vSphere Client.

  2. Click Menu > Global Inventory Lists
  3. Under Resources, click vCenter Servers.
  4. Click the lax01w01vc01.lax01.rainpole.local vCenter Server object and click the Configure tab.
  5. Under Settings, click Advanced Settings and click the Edit settings.
  6. In the Edit Advanced vCenter Server Settings dialog box, configure the following properties and click OK.
    1. Search for the config.SDDC.Deployed.Version property and change its value from 5.0.0 to 5.1.0.
    2. Add the config.SDDC.Deployed.WorkloadDomain and config.SDDC.Deployed.InstanceId properties.

    Note: * Use the unique_identifier you generated for the Management vCenter Server. See Set SDDC Deployment Details on the Management vCenter Server in Region B.
  7. Click Save.
