During the management domain deployment, Cloud Builder deploys an earlier version of vRealize Log Insight. You disassociate this default vRealize Log Insight deployment from SDDC Manager by using a supported script on the SDDC Manager appliance.

Prerequisites

You have a newly deployed VMware Cloud Foundation 3.10 SDDC.

Procedure

  1. Log in to SDDC Manager by using a Secure Shell (SSH) client.
    Setting Value
    FQDN sfo01mgr01.sfo01.rainpole.local
    User name vcf
    Password vcf_password
  2. Change to root user by using the following command.
    su - root
  3. Provide the root password.
  4. Create a BASH script by using the following command.
    cd /tmp
    touch disassociate_vrs.sh
  5. Edit the BASH script file with the following code.
    #!/bin/bash

    if [ "$EUID" -ne 0 ]
then echo "Please run as root"
      exit
    fi

echo -e "\nWARNING: This script will disassociate vRealize Suite products from SDDC Manager."
echo -e "\nAre you sure you want to continue? (y/n)"
    read REPLY
    if [[ ! $REPLY =~ ^[Yy]$ ]]
    then
       echo -e "\nAborting the operation.\n"
       exit 1
    fi

    curl -s localhost/commonsvcs/vrealize/internal/finalizeVrslcmRollback -d 'SUCCESS' -H "Content-Type: application/json" > /dev/null

psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "truncate vra;"
    psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "delete from vm_and_vm_type_and_domain where vm_type ='VRA';"
psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "truncate vrops;"
    psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "delete from vm_and_vm_type_and_domain where vm_type ='VROPS';"
psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "truncate vrli;"
    psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "delete from vm_and_vm_type_and_domain where vm_type ='VRLI';"
psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "truncate vrslcm;"
    psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "delete from vm_and_vm_type_and_domain where vm_type ='VRSLCM';"
    psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "truncate vrealize_load_balancer;"
    psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "delete from network where network_type ='VREALIZE';"

psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "delete from credential where entitytype ='VRA';"
psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "delete from credential where entitytype ='VROPS';"
psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "delete from credential where entitytype ='VRLI';"
psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "delete from credential where entitytype ='VRSLCM';"
  6. Grant the execute permissions and execute the script.
    chmod +x disassociate_vrs.sh
    ./disassociate_vrs.sh
  7. On Are you sure you want to continue (y/n), enter Y
